Privacy Policy

Rhobanking ("we", "us", "our") operates the website rhobanking.com. This policy sets out what personal information we collect when you browse the site or place an order, why we hold it, who else sees it, how long we keep it and what you can require us to do with it.

1. What we collect

Three kinds of information reach us:

• Contact details you give us: name, email address, telephone number, shipping address and billing address.
• Order records: the products you bought, your order history, and the messages you exchange with our support team.
• Device and usage data gathered automatically: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, the pages you viewed, the page that referred you, and timestamps.

2. Payment information

Payments are taken by Shopify Payments, which operates to PCI-DSS standards. Your card data passes directly to that processor. We do not hold full card numbers or payment credentials on our systems at any point, before, during or after a purchase. What we retain is a record that an order was paid, not the instrument that paid for it.

3. Why we hold it

• To take, pack, ship and invoice your order, and to handle any return or refund that follows.
• To answer your questions and keep you informed about an order in progress.
• To detect and prevent fraud and unauthorised transactions.
• To understand how the site is used and to improve what we sell and how we sell it.
• To meet accounting, tax and other legal obligations.
• To send promotional messages, but only where you have asked for them, and you can withdraw that consent whenever you like.

4. Who else sees it

Your information is shared with a small number of third parties, and only so far as running the shop requires it:

• Our e-commerce platform, which hosts the store and its order records.
• Our payment processor, to authorise and settle transactions.
• Shipping carriers, who need the delivery address to bring the parcel to you.
• Analytics providers, who help us see how the site performs.

We may also disclose information where a law, regulation or legal process requires it, or where it is necessary to protect our rights, our property or the safety of others. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone for marketing purposes, and we have never done so.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

The site uses cookies and comparable technologies to keep the basket working, remember your preferences and measure traffic. Your browser settings control what you accept. Turning cookies off is your right; be aware that parts of the site will stop behaving as intended if you do.

6. How long we keep it

We hold personal information for as long as it takes to complete your orders, support you afterwards, satisfy accounting and legal duties and resolve any dispute. Once none of those apply, the data is securely deleted or anonymised so it can no longer be traced to you.

7. How it is protected

We apply administrative, technical and physical safeguards to the information we hold, and all traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted with SSL/TLS. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot promise absolute security. What we can promise is that we do not keep what we do not need.

8. Your rights and choices

You may at any time:

• Ask to see the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything inaccurate, or to delete your information.
• Withdraw consent to marketing messages, through the unsubscribe link in any such message or by writing to us.

9. Privacy law that applies (PIPEDA)

We handle your personal information in line with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the federal law that governs how businesses in Canada treat personal information. We collect it with your consent and only for the purposes set out above. You can withdraw that consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits, although an order cannot be fulfilled without the details it needs. You can ask for access to what we hold and have it corrected, and if our answer does not satisfy you, you can bring a complaint to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

10. Storage outside Canada, and minors

Rhobanking is run by a company established in the United States, so your personal information is stored and processed in the United States, by us and by the providers named in this policy. While it is there, it may be accessed by courts, law enforcement and national security authorities under United States law. Placing an order means you consent to that transfer.

The site is built for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors; if you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Any revision is published on this page with a new effective date, and we suggest you look it over occasionally.
